If its any help you can sown Kale up until July, plus you might be able to buy plants from your greengrocer, market or even DIY store.

As Bren says you can still plant Kale plus spring cabbage. Both mine will be going down in the next week or so.

I'm fairly sure my romanesco cauli seeds can be planted until July, but I can't find the packet at the moment to check.. certainly I also have a purple headed one (di sicilia violetto) which says July on it. I've also got some All Year Round somewhere (yeah yeah I know, I should stop planting and do some sorting out ), and I think they have another planting opportunity in October-ish for an earlier crop next year. So all is not lost!

Spring greens can still be sown. I sow them in September for over-wintering. Very grateful for them during the hungry gap.

I grow this variety every year. Just sown another batch. It grows similar to a sprouting broccoli with a larger main head. If you harvest the main head first it will sprout mini cauliflower side shoots. Lovely!

There are many different types of cabbage etc, some you can sow now and some where you've a bit late. I don't grow any for summer harvesting but my winter ones are still pretty titchy and I sowed some calabrese earlier today which I'll harvest in about October.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
