  • cabbage varieties for poly tunnel

    i am looking for cabbage varieties that are suitable for a poly tunnel.both in spring and autumn cutting.i have tried several varieties of cabbage in my poly tunnel but they always grow huge and take up a lot of space what varieties are best suited for poly tunnel production.what do you recommend information will be great fully appreciated.is there a seed catalogue that offer vegetable seeds specially selected for poly tunnel production

    Durham early works for me.

    Last year from a september sowing I was pulling some of them as greens, smaller cabbages and full grown.


    I sowed this years last week and will transplant them once the tomatoes have finished.

      forgot to add -

      You can plant anything in the PT so no need to have different varieties. I always plant a few of my cabbages outside to pull when the ones in the PT have finished. I wouldn't want any in the PT past feb/march as there's too much waiting for the space

        I usualy put Hispi and Minicole in my tunnel for an early crop.
