  • Cabbage spcing in raised bed

Hi, a bit of advice please how many cabbages (Kilaxy) could I sensibly plant in a raised bed 3 x 1.2 mtrs?

Depends how big you want them. My beds are a similar size to yours and I put 3 across the width and about 6 the other way for my winter cabbages but closer for spring ones as I pull every other one of those out for spring greens

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Kilaxy is not a large cabbage with a spread of about 2ft/600mm so the optimum spacing would be about 600mm between plants, however if you can give them a little extra attention I would reckon you could get away with no more than about 450mm between plants and about 600mm between rows.
