When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

Are there little eggs in those blisters?

Not sure VC. I had a look and tried "popping" some but they seem to look luke blisters and feel like hard lumps. I thought initially it might be white scab but the images I see on t'interweb are different.

How big is the cabbage in question? The picture looks like it's one of the bigger outside leaves, so are any of the other leaves affected?

It is one of the bigger outside leaves RL, there are the odd few patches on other, smaller, leaves too - round the edges and down the side of the middle stem. I wonder if this could turn into a problem and should I remove the affected ones?
