  • Brown Vinegar

I have just been reading that brown vinegar makes an excellent weed killer, i read that you need to heat it (which may be a problem for me). Has anyone tried it, does it work, how do you use it?

Fascinating - and a bit depressing! I'm just about to launch a website / small online business focused on 'natural gardening', and one of the things I was going to do was to share all the various home-made recipes I've been given / heard about, to try to reduce the number of chemicals we pump into the environment. Now I'm not sure if I can do that! Maybe if I add a disclaimer of some kind, and point out that any product carries its own risks, and include links to government guidelines.... Why do they make it so hard to try to make things better??

I think thats a good idea I know in Alys Fowlers 'the thrifty gardener' she mentions home made weed killers are only included in her book for 'none EU' gardeners.
