Instead of planting these seeds direct in the ground, this year I planted into pots. I left them outside and nothing happened so I moved them into the greenhouse. That was about a month ago and still nothing. The reason I didnt put them direct in the ground was mice, they seem to rather like them. Do you think they will grow or should I start again?

They need 7C+ to germinate. Maybe it wasn't warm enough. Have a look in the pots to see if you can see the beans. You may be lucky and they are showing signs of sprouting now with the warmer weather or the mice got them, or they have rotted.
I always germinate mine in the greenhouse. Mind you mine haven't germinated yet either! -
I sowed mine as I always do in the cool conservatory and they came through in about a week so a month does sound a long time. How cold has the greenhouse been? I feel that it might have been too cold for germination although they would no doubt grow on well in there afterwards. It is possible that the seeds may have rotted, have a poke about and see if you can find anything.

I'd have a little furtle and see what you can find in the pot.
You could probably get away with sowing direct in the ground now.
I germinated mine in loo rolls indoors then moved them out to the greenhouse once they were a couple of inches tall. They've been hardened off and just went into the ground today but some of my fellow plot holders were direct sowing today!Comment

Mine took approximately 9 days to germinate. Sown in paper pots, they are on a north facing sill. They did take some time to get going, can be up to 21 days. All being well, I will transplant them to the plot soon, and sow another batch.Comment
