Default broad beans

Hi All
well planted english broad beans,but most of the plants went black and died others had some pods on with 2 3 beans inside most of them had brown or black markings on the beans themselves. so is it to much water not enough or a disease ?

hi,the only thing i can think of is,chocolate spot ,it is a disease,thats all i know,have a look on the search at top of the page,type in chocolate spot,and look on google,you may come across some pictures to see if yours are the same,i had it last year,or rather my beans,good luck
