  • broad beans have black tips on leaves

Looking for a bit of advice.

My broad beans have sprouted and are fairly shooting up (reckon they have grown about 2 ins in past 24hrs)

I noticed earlier that the tips of the leaves on one of them has gone black. I would decscribe it as looking like a burn.

They are on the side in the kitchen near the window.

I have tried posting a photo, but the site is playing up a bit and won't let me.

I have grown them in loo rolls, planted up with gp compost.

I can't find anything referring to this in other threads.

Should I move them from the window? What else could be causing this?

Could be one of several things a pici would really help.

After thought, if it is just one separate that plant from the others until you get a picci up and can be offered further advice.

Frost or maybe if there was a droplet of water on the leaf it could magnify the suns rays & give localised sunburn

Here is a pic I took about 20 mins ago.

It actually doesn't look quite so bad today, but still wondering what it is
