  • Broad Bean near miss disaster.....

    Hello All

Am new to this site - was looking for answers with regards to my Broad Beans, the flowers of which had shrivelled up and turned black. I looked on this site and found that this means that they are about to produce beans. Thank you so much - I was just about to cry and pull them all up!!

    Welcome to the forum Tracey!

Most flowers do look like they've taken a turn for the worse when they've set fruit.. just before the usual drop off/give way to fruit.

Hi Tracey, welcome to the Vine. I think one of the keys to successful growing is patience By the way, could you add your location to your profile? That way it will show up on your posts and helps when giving advice.

Cor, that was close. You were almost a "had bean" !!
I'm surprised though. With a name like yours, I'd have thought you would be growing runner beans...
