Apologies if I am posting this in the wrong place but what is the name of the blue hoops that I see everywhere on my allotment? Everyone seems to use them for their cloches but I have no idea what they are called or how to get hold of some-Any ideas?

Raine it seems to have two names 'Alkathene pipe' or 'MDPE Water Pipe Blue'.

from Wicks Screwfix or any DIY store.

There's a couple of different designs of them as seen on Andy's latest video
On the Allotment - April Week 3 - YouTube

One person has drilled a hole into a wooden frame and put the pipes in and someone else has fixed the pipe to the sides of raised beds.

Make sure you measure the pipe length so your netting fits.

Its MDPE water pipe Its blue and I use it. The cheapest place I have found it is Toolstation if you have one nearby but Screwfix and Wickes also sell it. Make sure you get Blue MDPE and not something like White Conduit piping as thats brittle as i found out when i bent it

Have a scrounge round builders skips, or chat up a local plumber for his off cuts. I have lots of small lengths that I connect with bits of broken canes. Don't buy when you can get em for free. You could even put a wanted add on your local FreeCycle.
