Hi. I've just found loads of blackfly on 2 of my parsnips... I didn't know they particularly liked parsnips, but there you go. They even got through the debris netting to reach them... Is there anything I can do about them pls, other than squishing and squirting with soapy water? Ta

Squirt them off with a pressure sprayer full of clean water. -
Oh yes of course, like I did with the broad beans... duh! I was so busy thinking about pinching out the tops of the broadies and wondering how on earth that applied to parsnips, that I completely forgot about turning the hosepipe on them! Thanks!sigpicGardening in France rocks!Comment
