  • Bio Gro

This is not an advert, but my friends have been raving about it. As you can see it's called bio gro and the claims made for it are incredible!
Has anyone tried it? It is expensive so I thought I'd ask around first before investing my hard earned.

Wow, it claims to do everything except plant the veg itself ... makes veg frost hardy, banishes slugs & pests ...

I think it's made from bat guano, so it's probably pretty smelly if those David Attenborough wildlife programes are anything to go by.

Well first reports from users on my plot is that growth is greatly improved. As for the anti disease/pest/frost, don't know yet....must be fairly new this if none you plotters have tried it!

Have they done a side-by-side trial, one with and one without the Bio Gro?

No just say that everything seems to be bigger and healthier.....maybe the placebo effect?

                  Improves frost resistance?
I'm guessing it just means it allows the plant to keep producing even after the first frost? I'm a little unsure how it manages to accomplish that.
Still, as others have said, pretty bold claims - I'll definitely be following the results - it sounds fantastic though.

Sorry to put the dampers on things, but I've tried this out as I was interested in the similarity of its bottle and some wording to SB Plant Invigorator. Having used SB for a couple of years, I wondered if the Marshals product was perhaps better...

Unfortunately I was not impressed at all and will be continuing with SB.

Forgot to add that I even tried some neat to stop slugs attacking my peppers and it failed. Surely companies can't make these claims without having evidence, so I'd be very interested if anyone has any test results available.
