Beans, peas and moungetout, how to grow?

    Beans, peas and moungetout, how to grow?

    I have started in the greenhouse the following:

    Runner bean
    scarlet empire

    Moungetout
    Shiraz

    Peas
    Oasis
    Alderman

    Dwarf French bean
    Amethyst

    Sugar snap pea
    Jessy

    I scrounged these seeds off people and had different answers when doing a Google search on how high these all grow.
    I have today built a 12 foot climbing frame 6 foot high so can grow up both sides of it.
    Am I correct in thinking not all of these are climbing varieties and some won't even need supporting.
    How would you grow each of the varieties listed above, how high do they all grow and how far apart would you plant them?

    Scarlet Runners will wind round canes, string etc.
    Mangetout throw tendrils so will grab hold of string, netting, maybe canes but generally grab hold of themselves.
    Peas - Some grow tall as per Mangetout, some are Dwarf & only grow a couple of feet so a small wigwam is sufficient.
    Dwarf French Bean, not much support needed, I tend to use canes.
    Sugar Snap Pea - I treat them the same as Mangetout but without goggling that variety it depends how tall they grow.

    So.............
    Runner Beans & French Beans are winders.
    Peas............Grow tendrils to support themselves.
    Dwarf French Beans...........Little support is needed

      Runner bean scarlet empire : Tall, I grow up 8' canes

      Mangetout Shiraz : Dwarf, about 2.5', I support on netting

      Peas Oasis : don't know, never grown

      Peas Alderman : Tall, I grow on netting supported by 8' canes in rows

      Dwarf French bean Amethyst : never grown but assuming they're dwarf

      Sugar snap pea Jessy : don't know, never grown

      Note that the beans will grow by twisting themselves around canes but peas (and mangetout) need something for the tendrils to cling to which is why I use netting.

      Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
