  • Back Garden Nursery

Yesterday i went to visit a chap who was advertising 2 year old victoria rhubarb plants grown from seed. When i got there i was amazed by how much they had growing in a 'normal back garden'. This was obviously a hobby and the chap was just selling off his surplus but the selection and quaility was far better than my local garden centres.

I came away grinning with my Victoria Rhubarb, a red gooseberry, a pot of runner beans, a tray of chard, 2 melon plants, 2 butternut squash, a tigerella tomato and a BLACK tomato plant! (Black Prince).

I also fell on my feet with a brand new large walk in blow away greenhouse my mum brought it last year in the sale but hadnt used it. Cant wait to get it up and get all my new additions in

Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant.......

Couldn't be happier, we finally had time to put the blow away greenhouse up today. I've been like a pig in muck ever since transferring my toms, melons and peppers and pottering away transferring seedlings etc.

I've transferred my rhubarb and gooseberry to their new homes. I have apples on my apple tree, flowers on my tomatoes, the strawberries are turning red, I've even got a mushroom growing under the kitchen sink in a grow your own kit I brought from the £1 shop!

It would have been a perfect gardening day if I hadn't turned to see my dog eating my runner beans and later my second dog eating the leaf of my sunflower! and to think I thought slugs and birds were the problem.

I'll stop rabbiting on now and show you the pictures
