I noticed the growing tip on my aubergine has been snapped off. It was probably me when i was sorting out yesterday.( Too many plants crammed in the GH )
The plant is around 12" high and has loads of healthy leaves, more appear to be growing out of the sides.
The only flower forming was on the broken tip. searching on here i came across this link Aubergine | RHS Gardening which says pinch out the growing tip at 12".
Will some flowers be produced out of the side shoots?
I have a second aubergine plant and this has flowers starting to form on the tip.
Will I need to pinch the top out of this plant as well.
Please give me some good news - I dont want to throw it away ( reading on the vine - it sounds like aubergines are hit and miss at the best of times )
The variety is Bonica F1 I think.
