  • Anyone tried these?

Grow Beds | Four Seasons Greenhouse Gro-System

I've bought some today to give me a bit more growing space and wondered if courgettes would flourish in them. I found it really difficult to keep up with the watering when I had them in buckets, and I haven't much space unless I dig up more lawn

What surface are you going to put them on?
just a sugestion, but why notjust remove turf from small circle on the lawn and plant it in that
they look like cut down builders bags, a quick freecycle might get you some for nothing, just fold them over once and fill, away you go...

I don't want to be a party pooper Flo but 32"x21" isn't much bigger than a grow bag, you could have got 10 grow bags for the same price..........sorry.

With 12" depth I would have thought it would be deep enough for courgette/squash,bung one in each bag & surround it with a bean wigwam (sort of 2 sisters)

Flo, I bought some garden bags of a similar type, but taller from Wilkos last year, that clearly are meant to be used for gathering up leaves and such stuff. I got them for next to nothing and used them for tomatoes last year. I filled them nearly to the brim with compost and put loads of tomatoes in, really deeply, and that worked an absolute treat Cost pennies, if you disregard the amount of compost ya can put in two of them! LOL

I've used the Big IK*A blue bags for planting into. Handles for dragging around and quite robust. I also put Morrison's buckets inside them, just to hold them all together and hold a bit of water at the base.
The smaller blue bags make good individual planters.
