  • Anyone grown Golden Beauty Baby Plum Tomatoes?

I couldn't find any details anywhere except at Asda which is where I bought them from today.

They are not as sweet as the red ones that I bought from Aldi yesterday, but my husband likes them and they look nice so I will save some seeds and have a go at germinating them.

If anyone is interested they are £1.29 at the minute for 220g (there were 14 in my pack) at Asda.

Could be worth a try if you fancy growing something different from supermarket toms.

Well, I put some on a damp piece of kitchen roll in a sealed marg tub on the windowsill and 2 of the three have germinated (took about 4 days).

    So fingers crossed.

Golden Beauty isn't a plum tom. You have something they are calling golden baby plum, which means they aren't telling you what it actually is. This means you can't look it up and find out if it's an F1 and therefore if you'll get the same tomato from the seeds. Not fair! I hate it when they don't tell you what you're getting. I've checked on Dave's Garden cultivar list (thousands of tomato varieties) and can't find one called Golden Baby on there.

Yes, I had checked everywhere for it too and was wondering why I couldn't find it.

Oh well, I'll carry on growing them and see what they turn out like.

Might be all different - but one might be a winner!

How did they turn out in the end?
The problem with rounded personalities is they don't tesselate.
