    Anyone grown garden pearl toms?

    Hi

    I have three healthy garden pearl tomato plants. I believe they are meant for hanging baskets, but I am planning to put them in big patio pots.

    How far down will they trail? the pots are about 12" high, but I could raise them up on blocks if necessary.

    I grew some in hanging baskets a year or so ago. They didn't hang down very far about 10 inches at most.

      I had mine in pots last year, two plants per 12 inch pot and about 10 inch high, and they touched the floor by a couple of inches !!

        I grow them in a manger type basket and they hang down about 18 ins from the top,
        they have cropped really well for the past 2 years,over 30 pounds of toms from 2 plants.
        the basket is on the front of the shed and is south facing.
        don't be afraid to innovate and try new things
        remember.........only the dead fish go with the flow
