Just wondered if anyone had grown Harlequin Potatoes and if so what they thought of them...for flavour, yield and disease/bug resistance?

I grew them last year and the year before and flavour and yield were great! I grew them in tall thin tubs, and they were crammed in! They did get a touch of blight, but with the tops chopped off they were fine, and had already produced a big crop. Slugs didn't touch the tubers, but snails were partial to the top growth.
I'll be growing them again next year after I missed out on them this year. -
Same results as Sarah. Good yield, despite taking the tops off when the blight got them. Hardly any slug damage and I only dug the last of them up a couple of weeks ago, they were quite happy in the ground. In the past I've grown Pink Fir Apple, decided to try Harlequin this year and didn't notice a significant difference in flavour so I'll be growing them again next year.Life is too short for drama & petty things!

I've grown Harlequin for the last two years and have been very pleased with them.
I believe they are a cross between Charlotte and Pink Fir Apple. They have the regular shape of the Charlotte with the flavour of PFA. Seem to be quite resistant to slugs etc.
