    Any Ideas?

    Hi

    This is the first time l have grown galaxy runner beans in containers and l water them most nights. The leaves are turning light brown and crumbling. Do they have a disease or am l over watering them???

    Just started growing vegs and still finding my way.

      No, wind damage didn't even cross my mind and thinking about it they are in a windy spot.

        You're welcome. A picture of them would help identify 100% though - maybe tomorrow. Lots of wind damage occurring at the minute - you're not alone!

          Sounds like wind damage but as VVG says a pic would really help. Also if you could put your location in your profile as different parts of the country can vary greatly.

                They do look a bit crispy, where are they - it's hard to tell from your photos

                  They were in a fairly windy spot but l have now moved them to behind the shed. As it's the only shelter l have.

                      I've got a couple looking like that around my wigwam, but the new growth is ok so they'll be fine. I grow them in the same place every year and it's very open and windy, nowhere else for them. If you've moved yours to somewhere a bit more sheltered I'm sure they'll recover.

                        Hard to say for deffo, does look like wind damage but do you make the sun as gone off the plants before watering?

                              Thanks for sharing your pic. I have now moved them to a sheltered spot and they are producing new leaves. So fingers crossed l will get a few beans.
