  • Any Ideas, I don't think its pak choi haha

What do you recon this is? Sowed it from the same packet as the rest of the seedlings in there (I think they are pak choi, who knows) but this one is considerably thicker than the rest with different leaves. At first I thought trifolium but the stalk seems to thick....
    What do you think?
Im tempted to pot it up see what it turns into.

I'd have guessed at clover too. Do you have any red clover green manure seeds that might have got in the compost?

It was probably a dormant seed in the compost. Maybe it's just because I was in Malta last week, but to me it looks a bit like the "english weed", Cape Sorrel, so perhaps it's an Oxalis.

Could it be oxalis - or even oca?

          Defo not pak choi though

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Definitely not clover - the stem is all wrong and clover leaves usually have a pale mark that runs round the leaflets in a circle.

Agree it looks like an oxalis - if so it will form small tubers underground.

A few started to grow, I got scared and threw it in the bin.

I'm terrified in case I get anything like jap knotweed in my garden. I think I would move house if I did haha
