  • Another thinning question

Decided to try some carrots in root trainers and joy of joys all have germinated.

My question is this though. I put 3/4 seeds in each trainer so I obviously need to thin them How is this best done as they are in modules? Do I just pull the extra plant out (will this not harm the root of the plant thats left?) or do I just cut the top the green foilage a pair of scissors down to the soil?

You can just nip through the stem with your nails

Or, what I do now is to let them all grow together, then pull the biggest one, eat it and let the others grow on

So basically by cutting the extra stem(s) off it stops the extra carrots from growing underneath right?

if you take the leaves off, the plant dies (stops growing), yes
