Default Another potatoe question

I am growing pots in pots (pentland javeline and charlotte) and I have noticed that in some of my pots the top growth is all brown and dead - do I have to pick the spuds now and store them or can I leave them in the pots till I am ready to eat them?

Hello Diana, if the foliage on your potatoes has died down I would say they are ready. Have them out and eat them. I hope you get a good crop. I got 4 lbs of potatoes from Gharlotte in a bucket and 4.5 lbs of red rooster from a single potatoe in a bucket. They were all gorgeous.
Hello Kimbo, sounds as if your potatoes are ready too. I wouldn't store them. The glory of new potatoes is that they are new. After 3 days they are not quite as good. If you can't eat them now because you are going on holiday or something then I would leave them in the buckets. Otherwise, have them out and start eating.
