  • Amongst the spuds

Attempts to use the last 10 mins of my lunch break constructively were just thwarted. I was going to put a few Radish and Spinach in between my potatoes - then the rain came back. I shouldn't complain.

Anyhow, it got me thinking..... Anything else I can lob in that would grow quickly before the spuds get too big and shade the space?

While wearing your night clothes, plant cucumbers on the 1st May before the sun comes up, and they will not be attacked by bugs.

Not really: spuds grow really big really quickly (when it warms up)

I suppose you could use it as a seed bed for a while, then transplant out to final places when the spuds start getting big. Might make sense for some people??
