    Am I going to regret this?

    I've just been congratulating myself at my thriftyness having used the prunings of my Red Dogwood as peasticks. They look particularly attractive, BUT!! Sudden thought. Aren't Dogwoods related to willow? And does this mean I've just "planted" a lot of Dogwood cuttings?

        You will get lots of lovely dogwoods, but they'll compete with the peas. Plant the dogwoods somewhere else and find some other peasticks?

          Ooooooh - I didn't know that! (D'oh!) A couple of my Customers have some lovely Dogwoods - I do love free plants!

            Is it right that if you put the dogwood in boiling water and then plant them out they won't grow?

              My OH is supposed to be cutting me some 2 x 1 into support frames for me to string between. I used it last year and found that better than sticks which I have used in the past. No chance of those rooting - hee hee!

                I used dogwood cuttings as pea sticks last year - no they didn't take but I did dry them out for a while before using them.
                Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

                  I planted a lot of dogwood cuttings a few years ago. Not a single one took - so they're not that easy.
                  The problem with rounded personalities is they don't tesselate.
