    Allium Leaf Miner

    Hi folks, as you know, it is confirmed that our onions on the lottie have been hit badly by the allium leaf miner.
    Don't know whether to destroy the whole crop or wait and see, what do you advise.

    Well ... if you don't destroy the pupae, they will hatch out into yet more flies, to reinfest your crops next time.

    Of course you can't kill every single one, but try and keep the population down if you can.

    If it was me, I'd be cutting the leaves off to go in my Dalek, and leaving the bulb to regrow if it can. I did this with my leeks last year (leek moth maggots) and I got a crop, but a bit later.

      Two Sheds, would the green debris netting be ok to protect next years onion crop.
