  • After garlic?

My garlic is ready for lifting (hooray!) So I will have a small space to fill. What should I use it for please?

    The garlic or the space?

Carrots, swede, lettuce, or anything in pots that needs a home. Avoid leeks (rust) in particular alliums in general(good rotation policy) and beans - that don't seem to like being near or following alliums.

Good question cupcake. My onions and garlic are going to be lifted on the 21st, (cheers gardening guru) and I was wanting to put my melons in the space left behind.
      Would that be a goer?

I couldn't wait of the garlic maturing so I've dotted brassicas in between them. This way the garlic can mature and I get rid of some of the mountains of brassica seedlings that are ready to transplant!
