I think you have to check the packet to make sure the peas are Ok to overwinter don't you VC? Isn't it only round peas, not wrinkly ones, which you can plant now? (never been sure what's wrong with wrinklies, but there you go

). I've planted some Petit Provence in my polytunnel, because it says on the box you can plant outside in milder areas - but as our climate's quite similar to the south of England here, I thought it was safer under cover! If I was planting in the garden I'd have some fleece ready I think... I don't know what temperatures they can cope with - can anyone clarify?

And you may be able to still buy some brassica plants to bung in. Ditto winter lettuces.
