    Hello all I need your advice please as you know it's been 3 weeks since getting my plot I've nearly cleared it but I have no idea about what to plant can anyone advise if there are things I can plant at the moment?

    I'd definitely get some onion sets, garlic and broad beans in, to give me something to watch over the winter and to see how they get on.

      What Martin said and maybe some shallots and elephant garlic..

          I think you have to check the packet to make sure the peas are Ok to overwinter don't you VC? Isn't it only round peas, not wrinkly ones, which you can plant now? (never been sure what's wrong with wrinklies, but there you go ). I've planted some Petit Provence in my polytunnel, because it says on the box you can plant outside in milder areas - but as our climate's quite similar to the south of England here, I thought it was safer under cover! If I was planting in the garden I'd have some fleece ready I think... I don't know what temperatures they can cope with - can anyone clarify?

            And you may be able to still buy some brassica plants to bung in. Ditto winter lettuces.

              Seed packets will tell you when they can be sown.
