  • 3 2 1 lift off

At last my runner beans are up and running. They came up and seemed to stall to catch their breath. I was worried for a while. But now they are zooming up the canes.

My french climbing Cobra are about near the top of the canes.
I was worried about these as they were cheap off ebay, but they seem OK up to now.

Every thing seems late, am I the only one ?

    Jimmy.

I think we're all late this year Jimmy, but my beans are finally climbing and I've found one bean about as long as my thumbnail

Yes, my beans are about 2 weeks late and very hit and miss. Some are a foot high with flowers and tiny beans on, but not wanting to climb, others are top of the canes with few or no flowers... another strange year.

Things have certainly taken of in the last week or so.

The longest/tallest has an equivalent height of about 10ft and the beans themselves are well on their way now.
