200 of 10 cm pots... what can i grow?

I've already some herbs in there. But spring onion great idea. I waste some pot for them that I could use for something else. I was thinking as well alpine strawberry considered that this morning I move them from seedtray to one in each module tray ( they are stil tiny and I thought a pot was just waste of space. Do you think they will be happy in there?

I just thought one beet root each can grow? Lol

You'll need some of your smaller pots for bringing on the next batch of seedlings for succession planting.
Try to keep some young plants ready to fill the spaces as you take your crops from the larger pots.
Alpine strawberries would probably by OK - especially as its their first year.
A few onion sets would fit too.
One beetroot per pot! Why not? Anything is worth a try - apart from potatoes!!

Keep your 10cm (3") pots for next spring

With mature plants in they'd take a lot of watering

And wouldn't they have exhausted the small amount of compost nutrient by the time they are mature enough to eat. Unless you are going to eat them small of course, say as an addition to a sandwich.

i will two sheds but after i transplant out my plants i will have the bottom shelf of my 3 blowaway empty and the top i will use for some plants that are in waiting list to be planted lol...so i thought that the bottom shelves are always a bit in shade and cooler so ideal for some salad...

Just a thought, cut and come again salad leaves, pea shoots etc?

I have small pots (bit larger than this though) with these in by the back door. Also 3" pots (set into tea pots

) with a few herbs in the kitchen window - small basil plant, etc.

herbs are ideal... i will use some for salad definitely... i just have a look on my seed box and because i grow in pots i didn't sow a lot of stuff because i don't have space... so i found spinach and some winter salad...plus i have cabbage, broccoli, caulyflower that i didn't plan to use because the space but i might try a go in there and wait for the tomato to be harvest and then plant them... plus i have a lot of marigold. i may plant one on each 10 cm pot and leave them around the garden...

One Lollo Rosso per pot would be fine but you would have to feed it. If you had some sort of tray in which to put the pots watering and feeding would be a lot less of a chore.

i know infact i keep all my pots in gravel trays... as you can see in this picture.
in one tray can fit 11 pots but i think i will put less in there if a grow to mature the plant ( or start with 11 and when they grow and need more space i move some in other container)... so now i have little gem, lollo rossa, spring onion, basil, radish, rocket, alpine strawberry that definitely will be grow in 10 cm pots.. what about marigold,spinach (as baby leaves), do you think they will be ok?...plus in the waiting list until some pots are free, what you think of cauliflower, broccoli calabrese, PSB, winter salad? i know i'm going mad but i hate to see the seeds packet in the box waiting to be thrown away...

My PSB and calabrese are already in 4" pots by next month they will have to be in 6" pots so I think they might be to large a plant to keep in the small pots.

i will not... i'm in a waiting list for an allotment and i was keep them just in case i will get one. they allotment guys told me that i'm one of the first to be call and he told me that they may get some extra land close there from the council that is been left for decade and maybe a slice of that cake will be mine next year... but anyway i didn't know how much you could grow in pots so like i said i will grow some calabrese, PSB, cauliflower, etc for the winter...

i thought about that... infact i also have some 5'' and 6'' pots so i will start in 3'' pot and then move to a bigger one.. this sound ok?

Sure does sound OK for a start. The calabrese you could finnish of in something like a morrison flower bucket one per bucket. But because of its size the PSB will be a challenge I usually finnish up with mine in the dustbins vacated by the spuds.
