    Well .......

I've been reading about you all with your 'Blowaway' greenhouses and was wondering what the heck you all meant 'cos there's no chance mine would blow away.

In a fit of madness I bought a plastic greenhouse for 30 squids yesterday in Wilko's and put it up last night. Said to myself I'll secure it to the wall with brackets in the morning.

Got up this morning and I now know what a blowaway greenhouse is. had an (U)nidentified (F)lying (G)reenhouse during the night in my back garden, luckily no damage. Its a good job I don't own a paper shop else ........... lol.

oh no! Mine is wedged in quite well, but I've also put two big boxes of leftover floor tiles on the bottom shelf to sturdy it

I put one up on my previous allotment 2 years ago. Left it there when I moved. Still up and in use by the new tenants. 6 broom handles hammered into the ground (one per vertical), joints wrapped in sos pipe repair tape, guy ropes running from each corner of the frame to the opposite diagonal corner on the same side, soil on the bottom flap of the cover, bricks on the soil and troughs on the bricks with stones and soil in.

Too much hassle to take down - I had another from the sales.

After 4 years on the plot the plastic cover has finally given up the ghost. I did fill milk bottles with sand and cable tied them to the vertical pope in each shelf level and it is up against a wall.
