| Does anyone know where I can get hold of some cheap twin wall polycarbonate sheeting It doesn't have to bo the thick roofing type just enough to give some protection to seedlings. I'm looking to make some cold frames to go round the outside of my greenhouse but have so far been amazed at how much the stuff costs. I've looked around and registered with the local freecycle group in the hope of picking up someones old junk windows or something like that but have drawn a blank so far. Thing is being new to this I want to keep the plot looking nice as well - I'm in the secretarys good books for putting in effort at the moment but wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of a dissaproving stare; she was talking about some of the plots looking more like junk yards the other day. I've looked at exterior ply for the sides but that's a bit expensive as well. |

| Walk the streets tomorrow looking for wind damaged conservatories or greenhouses and ask if when they are repaired you can have the damaged bits. You never know, you might just find some decent sized bits and you'll have had a decent walk. ![]()

| If you lived a bit closer you could have the three sheets that are sat on my garage roof. I've thought about using them as a cold frame, but am slightly distracted by my new arrival. ![]() Have you thouhgt about spending an afternon skip diving? You'd be amazed at what you can find, especially in the 'nicer' parts of town.
