  • Shade net for the tunnel

When I bought the tunnel last year I also bought a shade net. I am in a quandry as to when I should put it on. Today the temperature shot up to 37 in the sun but when it is cloudy it will get to the 20's. I don't want to put it on too early and cut the light out.

    Advice please.

weather must be pleasant in your location.
when the sun comes out in the uk like it was in the midlands on monday i had 25 degrees dropping to 17 degrees if the sun went in for 20 mins or more. tunnel door and side vents were all open.

i only had 8 degrees swing in temperature, yours is 17 degrees which sounds high, was your thermometer getting any direct sunlight?

new to gardening and tunnels myself and would be interested to find out how and if others use shade netting on their polytunnels
