I thought I would start this thread as a personal record and more importantly to give you lot a bl@@dy good giggle
If anyone has any suggestions or ideas.........I'm all ears
Progress so far (not much )

Here we have the dismantled cold frame, ready to go back to the landlords. The 2 big brown patches are where the red currants were moved from. You can see them in there new homes, at the back of the photo ( they're the 2 that have been cut back hard )

This is where the cold frame was and where the little tunnel is going. I've dug 3 holes, it's quite heavy going. the 3 tubs of rubble is whats come out!

Little tunnel all empty ready for moving.

Started digging out the end of the raised bed because it needs shortening by a couple of feet to fit the new tunnel in. Can't finish that till we've eaten the last of the red sprouts (nearly there).

It seems a shame to move the tunnels that are already in place, is it not feasible to move the beds instead, it would be a lot easier.

Could you put the new PT over the little one? This would give you a double layer of insulation for your most precious plants and you could leave the beds as they are?

I'm only moving the little one, so the new big one has space. The big one that's already in place isn't going anywhere how nuts do you think I am?

It was considered briefly, but the little tunnel wouldn't quite be at one end or in the middle of the new one so there would be a lot of wasted space. This new big one is going to be a very tight fit.

I've just spent over an hour doing a garden plan on the lap top ( the sort a 4 year old could knock up in 10 minutes ) to help explain my plan, to me mostly.
But I can't work out how to get it from documents to the vine. I'll work it out eventually, but not now it's starting to annoy!!!

I've dug another to holes today just one to go.
not including the 12 I need for the big tunnel!, that can't happen till the little one is moved.

If it's on a format that the vine won't accept, simply copy & paste the document into Paint & save as a Jpeg. That's what I do with Excel documents.

I've had a quick play with a new app.
This will hopefully give an idea of the miracles that are going to be needed

Little tunnel (left of the horizontal raised bed ) is going where the cold frame was ( right of horizontal raised bed ) over the concrete pad.
New big tunnel going where the little one is. There won't be as bigger gap between the tunnels as their is now, and it will be quite close to the cherry tree ( the thing next to the gate ). Cherry tree is a bit of an odd shape in the plan because I've already pruned it so the tunnel will fit.

The plan is as close to scale as I can ( without being really picky)

Well we did it! The little (10ft x 10ft) tunnel is moved

Me (my best side)digging out anchor plates, Bob attaching handles for lifting.

Test lift, just to make sure everything moved we wanted and nothing moved we didn't.

Putting it up on blocks, getting ready for the move.

                          And Lift
