  • Mites on Chilli Plants

    Hi

I have some unwanted lodgers living on my chilli plant and I need advice on how best to deal with the problem.

I noticed there was a white coloured spider spinning a web on the plant and after I removed this little pest I noticed all the small leaves were covered on reddish/orange mites. I have been spritzing my plant ever since I purchased it (about 1 month) and have only just noticed the insects this week.

Can anyone suggest a way of getting rid of these creatures? I was going to try the soap method but not too sure about this.

    Thanks for your help

Your spider was not a pest. It will eat pests for you though.

Sounds like aphids. Squish them off with your fingers.
