  • Ikea grow lights anyone seen them?

I seen on fb that ikea is starting to sell grow light kits, I was just wondering if anyone had seen them in their local stores?

Looked at their website and can't find anything. Where did you see it, on IKEA's own page or that of a friend?

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Not actually seen em, as I don't do shopping, Hate It, but they are prodomanantly a miniature Auquaponics kit, not dismissing the concept what so ever, Infact the more I read and digest, people are having brilliant results using it! Not the IKEA one,but Auquaponics as a rule!

      Here! Have a Neb!

Saw these instore this morning. Kinda felt the systems were a bit 'gadgety' and costly tbh. Makes me sad to say that as I love Ikea stuff usually, it's so easy to re-purpose it and is normally reasonably priced.

I also looked at their other garden stuff (tables/chairs etc) and felt their prices were above usual for those too. I left with some more 70p pots.

Anyway, link to page for the indoor gardening items.....

Just as an alternative, I have ordered one of these....

...and I'm making a pipe stand similar to this....

...... to attach it to, so it sits over my existing propagator.

Better (and longer light) I think, cheap plastic pipe, more effective and cheaper than Ikea's offerings.
