Default green house,, light

hello greenhouse users, does the glass cause you to lose a certain amount of light ? i imagine it must, if only so slightly.
Anyone have an idea, in luminems? Just trying to work for next year, how early i could sow for certain veg, etc.i have heat in mind as well, which i'm pretty confident with.

any info is useful, bit of a friendly banter with a friend, thanks.

not sure about Luminens as it depends on the sun. But glass transmits about 90% of the light that hits it and filters out some of the UV spectrum.

It's not just the quality of the light but the daylength that limits you as well. If you want to do things properly you need sodium lamps ( SON T) but the cost of these makes it doubtfull of the benefits.

Also it's OK starting stuff off early providing you can move it on ( potting up or planting out) and if you've only got a small greenhouse it's a nightmare. I've got 2 and 2 coldframes and still struggle for room !!
