There's nowt better than a spot of gardening or pottering on the allotment to make you feel better I'm in a job that is 'ok' and have a right witch of a boss but whenever she tries to upset me (and the rest of the other staff) just mentally switch off and think about the allotment

I think there's also something incredibly soothing and fulfilling about working on a garden/allotment that no amount of gadgets and technology will ever beat!

Gillykat. You live in Alnwick? Is not that the Harry Potter castle? That'll explain the witchy boss!
You may say I'm a dreamer... But I'm not the only one...

I'm an official nutter - an official 'cropper' of a nutter! I am sooooo pleased to be a cropper! Hurrah!

So that is why she has her Wicked Witch moments She was in a right fettle with herself the other day and I honestly thought the manger was going to walk out yet yesterday was in the shop in the afternoon for two hours and was in a good mood and showing me photos on her phone and chatting away like me best mate She's off away on holiday for the next ten days from tomorrow so a calm will settle over the shop once more

Glad you're feeling better Brownie....bosses that make others' lives a misery really annoy me - surely a good atmosphere at work = happy workers which equals good productivity I just let it all wash over me now - work is just something I have to do to get the pennies to get goodies for my allotment. As hubby always says...it's not how you earn the money but how you spend it that counts!
