  • Carnivorous Plants in a Greenhouse - Good Idea?

Hi, I was wondering if anybody had grown Carnivorous Plants in their greenhouse. Venus Fly Traps and Pitcher Plants etc. Would they be a benefit?

    Kind Regards......Rob

Drosera and another sundew catch quite a few small gnats in my GH. The drosera self seed easily.

Also have three pitchers and a venus flytrap. Not sure what they trap.

You'd have to ensure that they stay damp enough on scorching hot days in the greenhouse.

They should thrive, but don't rely on them for pest control. The biggest issue I had with the sarracenia was that they kept eating the bumble bees. I keep my carnivores outside in a bog garden.
