  • 2016 Undercover Calendar.

I know we already have http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...oor_59779.html but maybe thought it would be a good idea to run a calendar for those who grow under cover whether it be a Greenhouse, Polytunnel, Walk-in-Cage, or fruit cages. Here are my Jan pics which I must say are looking rather dire:

Greenhouse - At the moment has dormant Peach, Nectarine, Apricot & Banana trees, all in need of some TLC. I plan to put the Monkey Nut plants in there if they germinate:

    Kite 1
This is a polytunnel that has had the roof removed & covered with debris netting. At the moment it is housing some pathetic looking Sprouts.

    Kite 2
Is the same make-up as Kite 1 and is also looking rather sad with Spring Brassicas. I think all this rain along with the beasties has made them give up the ghost.

On a positive note.............Things can only get better............

My pride and joy, my courgettes plants, experimental but have done so well so far.

I know i am a very messy gardener, things everywhere. Taken from inside, towards the front door

Taken from the back doors, into the PT

Mid way looking down into the backdoors, all my leaves, radish, spinach etc. My dying tomato plants, peppers and aubergines

From the front door looking all the way down (snail hotel underneath the sacks of logs and their dinning rooms above)

Looking good Lisa, green with envy!! It will be a long time before mine look as full as that.

Jealous of the plants Lisa, but can see why you have such a problem with snails - so many places for them to hide.

Lisa..............I can't believe you are harvesting courgettes in January!

I'll have to get a few piccies from inside my greenhouses.

GH 1 (also potting shed, 10x6 lean to type jobbie) Currently it is suffering winter neglect and I need to pull my finger out.

GH 2 (8x6) which is pencilled down to become the melon house this year.

That's the beauty of the calendar NG, you can watch it evolve over the year.
