Grow Your Own Magazine

Our greenhouse, which is in the process of being put together again, had a triangular panel for above the door with a spinny air-vent-fan type thing in it.

I say "had", as it decided not to stay where it was put when it was put back in place, fell, and broke.

Any idea where I'd get a new one? Are they the kind of thing everywhere'll have, and I'm just not using the right search terms? Or am I resigned to glueing my fingers together with superglue in an attempt to fix the thing...

I presume the spinny air vent fan is made of plastic, and if so, you'll more than likely be able to pick one up from a large DIY store, according to the size of course.

This type of thing is quite popular when gas appliances have been fitted, and a need for continuous fresh arises. they were fitted in the windows of houses.

Some come with a cord fitted to open and close the ventilation. I think they come in 4" and 6" diameter sizes.

This site has 'spinny' air vents for green houses, one is solar powered.
Bit pricy though.

Should be able to pick one up quite cheaply if you look around.

Thanks all - had a look in B&Q today, they had none, then on the off-chance asked when I was in the glazier getting replacement panes, and they'll sell me one for £16. A bit more than I was hoping for a plastic fan-thing, but it gets the greenhouse that bit closer to useable!
