  • Tin can planters.

Possibly an obvious to many, but I was pleased with my discovery anyway!!!
Most of my early sown tom's have got really leggy & I was struggling to find a pot deep enough to transplant them into...had a couple of deep yoghurt tubs, but needed more...well anyways...we had baked beans for tea & as I was washing out the tin for recycling my leggy toms caught mine eye!!!
A few holes in the bottom later &...Absolutely perfect!
the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.

Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.xx

I'm actually saving tin cans to grow things in - specifically, the large tins of dog food that we buy from Lidl. I've got 6 filled with compost at the moment, and freesia bulbs in them, but i'm going to plant more up with things like herbs and so on. As someone else said, knock a few holes in the base and bob's yer uncle. look pretty too!
