Good one but cleaned it and still the same...It runs ok at 1/2 and 3/4 power and with the choke on so I think it could be running rich but the plug was ok.

How about checking the torque of the cylinder head bolts.

          Too lean?
Does it have some sort of filter in the tank, a weighted one on the end of a flexible hose?
That might need cleaning or replacing.
Try advancing the throttle gently, nad also apply a little choke, just a little, if it makes it all the way to full and then dies when you remove the choke it's too lean.

Since my last post the old cogs have been grinding and when was the last time you greased the head of the strimmer it is at the working end usually a big nut to undo and then lubricate if its running dry that could tighten it up a bit hope it is a simple as thatjacob

Took the little but off and the head appears to have liguid lithium grease in it.
Not a lot I will admit. Any idea what to use? Can I use speay grease or will that be too light or should I use the lithum grease??

                    Manual dosent say?

In Shetland it is an inappropiate advance by a man armed with a Turnip on a married woman.
