It's that time of the year when you start collecting the left over tins from the Shortbread, Classic Sweets, posh biscuits and Jacobs Crackers (not in the picture but I have my eye on it) as the square ones are really useful as mouse proof storage down the allotment.

I didn't have any tins this year, either.
However - my granddaughter did buy me a very pretty new cake storage tin, as a prezzie, so I'll take the old tatty-looking one down the shed

you know you've really lost it when you start buying things for the re-use of the containers
not that I've ever done that...

The only reason I keep buying seeds is to fill all the empty tins I've saved over the years.

That sounds more like an excuse and not a reason LOL

How could you think that? An excuse - whatever next!
Have you heard the noise a tin makes with just a handful of pea seeds inside? They sound so lonely and a bit anxious when rattled.

Actually VC I have owned a lot of cars that have sounded like that in my time

Is seed loneliness a valid reason for buying more seeds?

Nobody should be lonely in this life. Seeds have feelings, you know. When there is only one seed left in your tin, that's when trouble begins.
I'm doing my bit for peas and I hope you'll do yours.

In a cleanout at the allotment I have just chucked out all my old tins out in an effort to declutter. Some were plastic so I burned them in the woodburner! All my seeds are now in a plastic shoebox type thingy and I've only kept one metal biscuit tin for nails and screws!
My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

                          Crackers every time. - 900g

Found 2 imposters @ 850 that will be posted to other use.

This year going to try 4 Weekly 1, 2, 3, 4 dividers and Monthly (March, April, May, June ..) dividers so that I don't fall behind. I tried to use a spreadsheet last year, but kept forgetting to update.

Can always put the screw box halfway down the stack to divert attention away.

And they seem to be afraid... Every time I go through the box, I think they should go to the bin, but hear the sigh of relief when I put the lid back on...

Perhaps a Heinz 57 square foot to give them a chance.

Don't know about you, 4 shoes, but when I eventually decide the seeds should go, I still can't bin them, I scatter them somewhere out of the way and say "Grow free, little seeds"............

No I'm not embarrassed about talking to the seeds, we've been friends for a few years, lived under the same roof, quite close friends really.
