We do not yet have Clubroot, (?Hubris), but I have been trying to find someone who has actually tried this to see if it works. I found the advice in a very very old Gardening book some time back.

I seem to recall it was mentioned on the Vine last year too. On a related matter, is anyone gonna try the new "clubroot resistant" cabbage "Kilaxy" this year ?

Oxalic acid is the active ingredient....and it worked!
But there again they were, and are, Spring Cabbage, and my feelings are that clubroot is more active under higher summer temperatures and not so much a problem during the cold winter months anyway!

Neighbour tried them last year and I was quite impressed! He told me a few had swollen roots but it didn't seem to afect there growth. They are a big cabbage which stand well over a long period without 'blowing'
Not the tastiest by all accounts, but worth growing (he is growing them again this year, and so am I!)

PS There is also a clubroot resistant cauli out, but I have only seen plants for sale and no seeds as far as I know?

A friend of mine used to dig the hole & fill it with double strength (10ml to the gallon I think) Armillartox then water it in with normal strength - he said it knoceked them for six for a start but he no longer has clubroot on his lottie plots!!
