    Morrisons flower buckets...

    there are plenty of flower buckets to be had a Morrisons at the moment,
    they make great pots for tomatoes, just drill a few holes in the bottom,
    priced at 99p for 8 grab a bargin!!

      I use them for my herbs
      5 small plants in each
      Currently mint and thyme for me.
      But others OK
      Fill bottom with compost bin compost
      And top with purchased compost
      Save money !

        they had their buckets at 10 for 99p at the begining of last year....now they are 8 for

              I bought a load at a car boot sale last year. I think they were a pound for thirty! I've used them for tomatoes, courgettes and early spuds.
              I would reccomend drilling the holes about an inch and a half up from the base and putting a layer of coarse grit in the bottom inch. This will leave a resevoir of water in the bottom against very hot days. I put one Sharpes Express in each tub and had a good meals worth for two from each tub. Small but tasty.

                flower tubs

                I have got loads of the tubs from Morrisons. I use them to grow tomatoes in - they're perfect. You do need to make sure that you put at least six holes in the bottom though.

                  If you have a gas cooker and a sharp *thing* warm the sharp thing in the gas flame put the buckets on the floor and whoosh they go through like melted butter. Smells a bit though be warned! Also don't end up like I did in the summer with mine. Big pile to whoosh through with my skewer all nicely warmed (can get through quite a few in one foul swoop if still inside each other and the sharp thing is nice and hot) I went woosh right through and ended up with my sharp thing wedged in my bare floorboards and me tugging to get the buckets etc free.........

                      our asda stores gave them away free about mothers day this year,we drilled the holes in them,a lot easier,
                      sigpicAnother nutter ,wife,mother, nan and nanan,love my growing places,seed collection and sharing,also one of these

                          My local Asda refused to sell them to me, they go to landfill - numpties. I get mine from local shop and Morrisons.

                            They say 8 , but I have had as many as 10! Cheap at the price! And wonderful for chilli plants.
