Just noticed the Italian Seed Company has had a 50% off everything for the whole of September. You need to use the code SSS01 at checkout. I have used their seeds for the last few years and would recommend them.

Italy is a far cry from the North East of England................thats probably why I've never had any joy with Italian veg seeds!

If they work for you though....go for it!

I live in the North East of Scotland and have had great success growing from Italian seeds bought in Italy and from a couple of companies based in the UK. Yes some varieties need to be kept indoors until established and those from the south of Italy need to be under glass until harvest. However most can be sown outdoors with great success.

If you get the email newsletter from Seeds of Italy you'll see he points out a similar thing - but what he points out is that some of the seeds are from Alpine mountain region of Italy where it gets somewhat colder than it does over here.
