Default Compost

Hi all,

has anyone sen any really good deals in compost? I am planting all in pots so am getting through a fair whack.
I heared an advert for focus today for two 120L bags for £9. Is anywhere doing a better offer than this?

Thanks

B&Q - 145l for £5.98 is the cheapest I've found. Have you tried your local council? Croydon council is apparently doing it for £1 per 42l but every time I try and ring them it is an answering machine and no one calls me back. I know what you mean about using loads, I haven't planted my potatoes yet because of how much compost it will take. I have got 80 chitting away of 4 varieties, I think I will only plant 6 of each so that I still have some money left to buy the butter to go with them when they're ready...

Thanks, I have tried my local council, £2 for 40L.
B and Q did have some large bags on offer last time I went but there was nothing at all to say how many litres there were, and no staff around either.

I've been buying New Horizon organic peat-free compost from Wyevale. It's £10 for 3 60L bags. I'm getting through shed loads as well due to so much container planting and spuds in old compost bags. My other half is sick to death of having to help me cart compost to and from the car. Next year I'm going to order it in bulk online.
