after seeing the advert for a device to make newspaper into small pots
    at £17.99 no thanks
    so it got me thinking
    this was tried this morning
    1 300g bisto carton cost £000
1 newspaper the free one on the bus cost £000
step 1 cut the paper in half, 24 pages 48 pots
step 2 put the straight edge of the paper at the top of the carton or lower depending
on how deep you want the pot
step 3 roll the paper round the carton
step 4 fold over the bottom as 4 triangles and pressed to the bottom
step 5 take out the carton
step 6 put your new pot on a standard seed tray holds 12 pots

either start potting up or stand back and admire
    total cost £000 pleasure loads

Quite a few of us make them - I use a polish aerosol can to make mine
I make them quite deep and use them for things with long roots like sweetcorn or sweet peas

Have a look at this link :-

$3 Newpaper Pot Maker | Simply Flagstaff

I made mine with some pipe we had laying around then for the 'Dome Slip Cap' I pushed a piece of wood inside the smaller of the two pieces of pipe just to seal the end.
      Location....East Midlands.

I'll have to remember this page! I hadn't thought of this before - much better than paying for biodegradable pots Thanks.
