    Now THIS is what we call a parsnip! "Gladiator" variety - will certainly grow these again next year! Now for the Sunday roast!!!Click image for larger version

    WOW it’s amazingly huge,well done!! I might try that variety,it must be great digging up a parsnip that big.

              That's a superb parsnip. Our plot's prone to canker so we grow Gladiator as it's a resistant variety.

                Nice one. I had some huge parsnips last year (Hollow Crown) grown at my friend's, but some of them had a bit of rot in the centre, although most of the root was edible. I still have some in the freezer and I will soon be investigating how the same variety has performed at the allotment .
